1966 — Tourism regulations introduced under the Ceylon Tourist Board Act
1968 — First batch of Tourist Guide Lecturers formed the Tourist Guide Lecturers’ Association with 15 members

1986 — Registered as the National Tourist Guide LECTURERS’ Association of Sri Lanka (NTGLASL)
1987 – 1995 Permanent office at the Taj Samudra Complex
2007 — Officially registered as the Sri Lanka Institute of National Tourist Guide Lecturers (SLINTGL)
2009 — Construction of the present four-storied headquarters completed at 35/37, Temple Road, Colombo 10
